2005. Cast Iron, Pencils, Steel and MDF. 54"x24"x24".

For this sculpture I made a hollow sand mold filled with 144 No. 2 Pencils. I then cast iron into the mold. This process left the charred wood remains and the pencil lead intact within the cast iron.
